Challenge cards for Monday, January 31, 2022

The challenge for Monday, January 31, 2022, is to use any part of the Smitten Stamp + thin cuts CC122111 to make 2 or more cards. I have also sent you a piece of B&T paper suitable for valentine's day, just in case you don't have any!  Use scraps, embellishments, to make the cards your own!

Here are the cards I made... I used scraps from old Valentine's paper packs and cardstock (ballerina, candy apple, lemonade, lagoon), a white gel pen, black journaling pen, a little heart stamp, and a stencil to add interest to my cards.  The bee and sewing machine are colored with Spectrum Noir markers.

I drew around the sentiments with the journaling pen, and then cut them out leaving a white border, and they are applied with thin foam tape.

January 2022 Layout

Here is the layout for January 2022!  I have mixed paper packets... the new X7276B Sweet As Honey paper packet, and the old Buzz and Bumble workshop on the go.  I even used the stamp set from the old workshop... C1549.

The flowers are colored using a water brush and ink from the lid of the sundance ink.  Any orangey-gold color would work!  I did not color my bees, but coloring would look nice.  I inked the edges of my banners in black ink... you may or may not want to do this.  I think charcoal would be nice too.  The photo mats are cut from whisper card stock.  There are 2 4x6 mats included for you to use on the left side, if you choose.

Challenge cards for Monday, January 24, 2022

We are well into January... and working on our monthly Christmas card challenge... snowmen!  Some beautiful and creative cards have been made so far!  At this rate, all our Christmas cards will be done by fall!

Here are the challenge cards for this week...

This first card uses techniques shown in the CTMH video I sent you. I will include the link again here in case you haven't had a chance to watch!

The image is all stamped for you... all you have to do is select a coloring technique, then cut out the sentiment and adhere!  I used thin foam.  Your card fronts are stamped with the flowers a little lower on the card, which I think looks better.

This next project was copied from a photo posted by Kim Wolff, a CTMH consultant.  She used slightly different paper, and put her tags on a bottle of Starbucks Frappachino (that's probably spelled wrong, but you get the picture).  I used a jar of hot chocolate mix.  Would make a cute gift!

The large tag is cut from paper from the new wood grain paper pack... page 24 in the new core products catalog. Small tag is cut from OLD Buzz and Bumble paper.

The stamped tags are in your package, as well as the stamped cow.  The ribbon you will have to come up with!  I did lift my cow with thin foam.  Of course, you can use the tags however you choose to!

Happy stamping!!
