The paper packet is Wonderland... glacier, wisteria, desert rose and charcoal are the colors I used.

Sunday, December 19, 2021

Wow, haven't posted in a while... will have to go back and see what I missed!  Anyway, here is the card I sent out for Monday, December 20, 2021.

This card uses stamps from the Wonderland card kit... prominent colors used are rosemany (I used garden green) and wisteria.  I also used the white gel pen to make the snow on the tag... the stamped image with the snowman and trees and raised using the thin foam tape.

Happy stamping!

Card Challenge for Monday, November 1, 2021

Hello!  Here are the cards I made from the challenge pieces intended for November 1, realizing you might not have received them yet.  I know... still can't seem to quite get my act together... sorry!

You received stamped images/die cuts from Z4321 peace and love stamp + thin cuts.  You also received 1/2 of the star cluster thin cut (CC9219) intended for slimline cards.

Here is a card I made using the stacked circle technique Carol shared...

I also found another you tube video that gives other options too...

Card challenge for Monday, October 25, 2021

 Happy fall!

Here are the cards I made with the pieces I sent out to Stamp Club...

For this first card, you don't have the gray plaid... you have little orange leaves...  otherwise, if you want to make card, I think it is self-explanatory.  Reminder to make sure the pumpkins are facing the right way!

For the second card, above, your circle is not stamped.  Thought you might like to select your own sentiment.  I used a blank card base, spattered with autumn terracotta re-inker.  I squeezed out a little of the re-inker on a tile, added a little water, then picked up some on a small paint brush and flicked it over my card base.  Be sure to put something under the card or you'll have paint everywhere!  I also cut my bronze shimmer trim in half (easier said than done) and placed it over the crack.

Sorry for the crooked scanning!

For those of you who asked, here is a remake of one of the pet sympathy cards I showed you.  After I said I'd put it on the blog for you, I mailed both of them before doing so.  Welcome to my world!  Anyway, I made another one to the best of my memory.  I think if I make another one I'll make the bottom cloud with the sentiment smaller, leaving more room for the rainbow, which I might sponge a little color behind!

Happy stamping!!

 Hello!

Those of you participating in the weekly challenge received stamped/die cut images from Z3982 Party Gnomes Stamp + Thin Cuts.  You also received a piece of cardstock with cloud images at each end to use as a stencil.

Here are cards I made from some of the pieces...

Challenge for Monday, September 6, 2021

Here are the cards I made with the items I sent you!

This first card I used paper piecing on the macarons.  (Note: everybody sorta got different patterns, and I tried to stamp 2 macarons alike and one in a compimentary color for you.   I wound up with bits and pieces left, so my 3 are all different.)  I just matted it in papers that sort of matched the macaron colors!

This second card I colored with Tri-Blend markers, and tried to match card stock as best I could.  I also used some of the older sequins that were already on the glue dots... didn't want 4 on the top, but when I tried to move one, it tore the paper... so!!!

Stamp set is from the new catalog... B1762 Ooh La La Macaron.

Happy stamping!!

Challenge for Monday, August 30, 2021

The challenges went out Wednesday morning, from the Grove post office... I know, you might actually have them before the weekend!

Here are the pieces in your envelope...
The "just bug-cause" is because I really liked my idea and wanted to share it... you can cut it up, or just mat it however you like.  (Z3968 Cute as a Bug stamp + thin cuts) Mine has some thin cuts on it because I messed up the stamping underneath!

The critters are stamped from D1947 From the Funny Farm.  Can't wait to see what you do with them!

The silver paper and silver pattern paper (you might have stripes) are from my stash and thought it might be fun to see you can do with them.

Here's what I did... I matted my bugs in black card stock... not very creative, but I like it.

I used some old, old, old paper to cut tags and mats for my tags and background.  An extra challenge point to anyone who can name the paper!!

Happy stamping!

Challenge card for Monday, August 16, 2021

 Hello!

Here are the cards I made from the challenge pieces I sent you... feel free to make your own design!

The pieces I sent you are from Z3975, I Woof You Stamp + Thin Cuts, and used paper from X8016 Party Time.  Reminder that this is the birthday paper in the current core catalog, and it is retiring end of August.  As the paper is reversible, you can make a blue base or a pink base, depending on which side you use.  You have enough pieces to make one of each, as I did!

The sayings I used are from a Stampendous! stamp set... SSC1223 Dog Sayings. The bone die is from Art Impressions - Dog Mouthful Set 4949.

Love these little doggies!!

Card Challenge for Monday, July 19, 2021

This week I sent you stamped/die cut pieces  using Z3969 Isabella--cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts.

Here are the cards I made...

Okay, in hindsight, there are some things I would have done differently, but I wanted to use the same items that I sent you.  Not too crazy about this... not sure if it is the stamp set or the maker!!

Happy stamping!

Card Challenge for Monday, July 12, 2021

For those participating in stamp club, I sent you 2 cuts from Z3961 Butterfly Background Thin Cuts.  One was cut from Amethyst card stock, and the other from Blossom card stock (both retired colors).

Here are the cards I made with the items I sent you!

I backed the amethyst card stock with a retired piece of B&T paper... not sure what pack it was from, but it was a watercolor effect paper.  I found anything with a defined pattern was too busy.  I rolled the butterfly wings, using a pencil for the larger wings, and a paint brust for the smaller.  Be careful that you don't pull your wings off!

I did the same thing with the Blossom die cut... you can see that the backing B&T paper was gradiated... can't think of the term right now, but it is lighter at the top than at the bottom.

I'm not sure how I feel about this die cut... it might have been better just plain without any embellishment, and used as a plain note card!

Can't wait to see what you do with yours!

Happy stamping!

Card Challenge for Monday, July 5th

Here are the cards I made out of the challenge material...

These cards use the retired paper "Jackson"... turns out I had a lot.  I did not have enough of the new paper, so please forgive the substitution!

You have everything shown EXCEPT

     a. the stamp on the bottom card "another year of adventure", which is from the new C1898 Wander--Cardmaking stamp set.  I plan to use this as an anniversary card.

     b. the 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 piece of white cardstock that goes behind the window in the top card.  Sorry... just missed cutting it!

I used glacier ink and a sponge dauber to add "sky" to the white cardstock... glued it to the back to cover the window, then added the other little pieces.

All other stamps  and material not mentioned above is from the Wander Cardmaking Workshop Kit, G1236.  Colors that match are barn red, cocoa, glacier, and juniper.

Happy stamping!!

Card Challenge for Monday, May 31, 2021

Here are the cards I made from the pieces I sent to you... all stamped from D1953 Cattitude, from the Annual catalog.

On the first card I added a piece of almond card stock, die cut and placed behind the "have a purrfect birthday".  I added a heart brad from my stash.  I colored the background with the TriBlend Ice Grey marker.  I also colored the cardboard boxes (which is where I got the idea for the almond tag) and the hearts.

On the second card, I colored the background in black, cut it down, and glued it to the card front.  I added some stamped hearts that I found on another stamp set (Z3914 Sweet Safari) and that I thought matched the hearts on the cats collars.

Happy stamping!

Challenge for Monday, May 17, 2021

 Hi all!

Here are the cards I made using some of the pieces I mailed to you...

The top card only uses pieces you received in the mail.  The paper is from Hillside Cottage, and the stamp set + thin cuts is Hillside Cottage -- cardmaking stamp set.  The horse is stamped in paprika ink.

The second card uses a flower from the Hillside Cottage cardmaking workshop.  The mat card stock is white daisy and blue belle... the B&T paper is from last catalog mix-in paper pack.  The vine stamp is from the March SOTM... S2103 Winged Masterpiece.

Happy stamping!!

Challenge for Monday, May 10, 2021

I have one card to share for this Monday's challenge... if/when I get more done I will post them.

I had a medical (eye) appointment on Friday morning and spent the rest of the day in a dilated fog... so I am running behind, particularly of things that need good vision.  The card below uses some of the items you received in the mail, with the exception of a piece of raspberry card stock and the white daisy banner pieces.

The paper is from Dream Pop, long retired.

The stamps/thin cuts are Z3954 So Tweet Stamp + Thin Cuts.

I have no idea about the card stock... from my stash... though I believe it to be a retired CTMH color.

Enjoy!

Betty

Challenge for Monday, May 3rd, 2021

Here is the challenge card for May 3rd, plus a second card that I made from the pieces I sent you.  My gray and white plaid piece on the first card is a little narrower than yours... I ran out of paper!  I also went through my dies and cut out all the sentiments with different die shapes that I had.

The second card has an addition of leaves that I cut using a punch... in hindsight would have been just as easy to just cut some pointy leaf shapes freehand and place them behind the lemons... mine are kind of small next to the lemons!  I just wanted a touch of green to break up the yellow! In this card, the cut lemon is raised.

I also did a 3rd card using the apple... will wait and show you Monday night!  Don't want to block your creativity!!  Remember, you don't have to use the pieces the way I did...

Happy stamping!!

Challenge for Monday, April 19, 2021

For some reason I had difficulty thinking/creating this past 2 weeks... must be all the wind and pollen floating around!  That's what I'll blame it on anyway!!

Here is the card I made using the pieces I sent you...

Supplies:

B&T paper - Eat Play Love paper pack
Stamp - Eat play love - cardmaking stamp + thin cuts
Cardstock - White daisy, Candy apple, Lemonade, Lagoon

I added color to the jar with Triblend markers... I colored in the heart, then used a silver pen to add dots.

Here is the start of a joy fold card...

The base (hollyhock) is 5 1/2" x 7 1/4", scored at 4 1/4".

The flap (pear) is 4" x 5 1/2", scored at 2 3/4".

The back side of the flap gets glued into the top half of the base (the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" side)

Here is the card folded... the bottom of the hollyhock base folds up, and the top of the pear flap folds down over it.  You can add a decorative piece to hold the flap down if you choose.  I did not include this!

I used a punch to add a decorate edge... it's hard to see, so I added a piece of B&T paper so you could see it better.  I think I like it better anyway... even if it isn't straight!

So, the challenge is to use the base/flap to create a card, along with the pieces of Brushed paper I sent.  Or... cut your own and make several!

Happy stamping!

Challenge card for Monday, April 5, 2021

 Hello!

The challenge pieces were mailed to stamp club members Thursday morning before nine a.m.  Hopefully you will have them in time!

Pieces were stamped from C1889 Cherry Blossoms.  Sorry, but I am not sure what color the pink cardstock is... retired and I lost track!

Here are the cards I made...

I got the idea for the top card from another maker... Sorry but I didn't remember to get her name to give her credit.

On the bottom card, I had to restamp the "thinking of" as this was the first one I stamped and I had the stamp on the block crooked!  I die cut the base, and just colored in the flowers with triblend markers.

Happy stamping!!

Challenge card for Monday, March 29, 2021

Hello!  Those of you in stamp club will be receiving pieces to make this card... it went out in today's mail (Wednesday) before 3 from the main post office, so surely you'll have it before Monday!

This is another fancy fold card... this one came from Debbi Fournier... she is way up my upline, above Gail!   Anyway, she and Terri Anderson collaberated and created the basic pattern for the fold which is described below.

Supplies:
B&T Paper - Daisy Meadows paper pack
Stamps - Daisy Meadows scrapbooking stamp + thin cuts
Card stock - Pixie (retired), white daisy
Other - Z4259 Stitched Square Frames. Spectrum Noir Triblend markers, assorted

Here is the card I made...  I did not put any greetings on this card... you can add your own depending on what you want to use the card for!

Here are the directions for making the base card.  I suggest you look carefully at the one I sent you so that these directions make sense.  The solid lines are cuts... the dotted lines are score lines.

Your challenge is to make the card I sent you, then make your own card using a different stamp set!

Happy stamping!!

Challenge for Monday, March 8, 2021

Finally some warm days!  Spring is close!

This week i have sent stamp club members pieces to make the card that Gail (Greetingsfromgail.blogspot.com) made with her team... (plus a few extra pieces to play with!)...  it is called a mini bendy card and uses the following supplies:

B&T paper - Eat Play Love

Stamp - Z3931 kitchen gnomes stamp + thin cuts

Cardstock - lagoon, lemonade, white daisy

Ink - Intense Black, lemonade

I will walk you through it Monday night, but I did find a tutorial that is similar if you need added help... Mini Bendy card tutorial by Gloria Plunkett, Stamping Up Demonstrator... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QeMbqJHDI4

Challenge for Monday, February 22, 2021

Hello!  Looks like it is starting to warm up a little... yay!  While Lila enjoyed the snow when it was fresh, she's not a big fan of the bone-chilling wind (or maybe that's me!).  Anyway, looking forward to warmer walks!

So, this week I've sent you pieces for a fancy fold card.  I have cut the pieces in taffy card stock and taffy b&t paper, which are both VERY retired.  You can either use as is to make a card, or put sizes on these as I have done, and use them as template for future use.

The birdhouse and sayings are from Z3915 Sending Well Wishes stamp + thin cuts

Below you can see how the flap is attached to the right side of the 6 1/2" x 5 1/2" CS base, after scoring.  I used green CS so you could see clearly.  The 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of b&t paper fits over the right side of the card base and will hide the 1/2" glued down piece.

The picture below might make it a little clearer...  As a side note, whatever b&t piece of paper you use should be light enough to stamp/write on, otherwise you will have to add a lighter square under the flap piece to write your message!

You can add b&t paper, embellishments, on the left side of the card and on the flap to suit yourself!  Consider zip strips, border die cuts, etc.

This is the card I made!

Happy stamping!!!

Challenge for Monday, February 15, 2012

Hoping your Valentine's Day was special!!

The cards for this week are from the Happiness Lives Here Cardmaking Workshop G1222.

Supplies:
B&T paper is Happiness Lives Here
Card stock is Sundance, White Daisy and Desert Rose
Ink used is desert rose, Blue Belle, Sage, and Sundance

In the top card, the sundance and blue belle flowers are raised.  The cork leaves are leftover embellishments and are retired.  The kit suggested a wood heart placed above the blue belle flower. (There were wood hearts in the kit, but very thick and did not think they would fit in the packet to you... sorry!)

I also did some ink splattering on the card.  I used the blue belle ink pad and put some ink on a ceramic tile (you could use anything that repels water).  Then, I used a paint brush, added a little water, stirred it around, then spattered blue belle ink on the card.  I am pleased with how it turned out, and may use this technique again!

In the bottom card, the cardstock is sundance and desert rose.  I raised the typewriter using foam adhesive.  The white heart was something I had.  See what you have in your stash!

I also sent you a blue belle bicycle, and a top fold card made from canary card stock.  Hope you can use them for something!

Happy stamping!!

Challenge for Monday, January 25, 2021

 Happy snow day!!

So, for the challenge, you got three 4.25 x 5.5" pieces of card stock (ruby, thistle and hollyhock).  You also got two 4.25 x 5.5" pieces cut from the heart die, one white daisy and one bashful (I think).  That was several days ago... 😆 Anyway, I had to accept my own challenge, as I sent out the materials before I had a card idea.

So, here are the cards I made... the bear is from a retired MFT stamp set, and love die is MFT as well.  Everything else is CTMH.  The "love u" is cut from black glitter paper... I smeared stickles on the white hearts... oh, and the sending hugs is from the bear stamp set.

Happy stamping!
