Cards for Monday, June 1st

Such a nice warm day today... thought I'd use the stamp of the month... Ice Cream Dream!  Also thought it would be fun to try some shaker cards.  If you haven't made shaker cards before, these will introduce you to just a couple of the many methods of making them!

Card stock: Thistle, White Daisy, Pear
Ink:  Memento Black
Shinhan markers: Turquoise Blue, Leaf Green, WG4 Warm Grey, Black, and Peony Purple

Window is cut using punches.

Stamp sets:  S1506 Ice Cream Dream (June SOTM),D1649 Blossom, and D1644 The Authentic Life.

Scrapbook pages for Monday, May 25th!

Well, this is the first time I have had anything done so far ahead, but since we are getting our new travel trailer on Saturday, I was afraid I would not have time on Sunday to scrap!  So... here are the pages!

Paper: Blossom paper packet
Card stock: White daisy, glacier, smoothie lagoon, pear
Stamp sets: D1649 Blossom Cardmaking Workshop, C1612 Shower Flowers, and S1505 Just Sayin" (May Stamp of the Month)
Inks: Lagoon, pear, smoothie, sunset, glacier
Other:  Shinhan black marker, Cricuit

There is plenty of room for additional embellishment, and the "bloom" can be an entrance into other themes (bloom'n idiot) (blooms of spring) (youth in bloom) etc.

As always, please bring your adhesive and scissors.  There is a lesson in using the Blossom paper, so please bring your paper cutter (or you may use mine if you don't mind a wait).

We will have a card to do as well, if you finish early!

Happy stamping!

Kathy's gathering, May 11th

The weather has been so cold and a little dreary (at least for May), so I thought I'd "think summer".

Here are the 2 cards we'll be making tomorrow night...

This first card uses the new Taste of Summer paper packet... love these colors!  I paired it with juniper card stock... also used white daisy card stock to stamp the images.

Stamp sets:  C1595 Hello Summer, and B1478 Ice-Cold Summer
Inks:  Thistle and Canary
Misc:  white glitter trim, liquid glass

This second card is a "pinwheel fold" card.  You may notice I have extra fold lines on mine... you will not have them on yours because you won't make the mistakes I made!  I have used Lollydoodle paper (retired), and white daisy inside.
Stamp sets:  C1612 Shower flowers, and D1635 Assorted edges
Inks: Cotton candy, pear, and slate

I did not add any message to the pinwheel fold card, and something different could be used place of the sun on the Taste of Summer card.  I thought something about "making lemonade out of lemons" would be cute!

As always, please bring your adhesive and scissors.  If you have a scoring board you might bring it... otherwise we'll be sharing mine.  I will also tell you how to do the fold without a scoring board.

Happy stamping!

Scrapbook pages for Monday, April 27

Here are the scrapbook pages for Monday night...

This layout uses the retired skylark paper, and the featured colors are bamboo, desert sand, juniper, kraft, lagoon, skylark yellow, sweet leaf, and white daisy.

On my layout I have used minimal embellishments ...  The stamp set that came with the Skylark workshop on the go and another matching stamp set will be available, as well as sparkles, etc. for you to use. You may want to edge the banners with bamboo or desert sand to make them more pronounced, which I did not do.

You might consider bringing your photos... 5-6 photos that can be cropped to 3 1/2" x 5".  That might help with choosing embellishments/stamps.

I used the BFF stamp from the lollydoodle workshop on the go, but you may also use the "live in the moment" stamp that came with the skylark set.

As always, please bring adhesive and scissors.  Please bring your paper cutter!

Happy stamping!
