Cards for October 23, 2017

Here are the cards we will be doing Monday night, October 23rd.

The first card is from the CTMH Blog and features the new Punny Pals Thin Cuts (CC1340) which are available ONLY this month.  The blog gives instructions for partial die cutting, and I thought it would be fun for us to do together.  This card is my practice card... I used older paper... we will be using a different paper pack (to be determined) and you can pick the Punny Pals and sayings you want to use.  On this card, the lion is inside the card, and it says... no lion. Also featured are the CTMH circle dies and the ribbon die.

The second card is from CTMH as well... I thought it was a good example for using leftovers from your scrapbooking paper packets to make cards.  Since the inks and papers match, it is easy to pull colors from the paper to make a coordinated card.

This card uses the "Falling for you" paper packet;  fern, goldrush and white daisy cardstock; fern, goldrush, and pewter ink, and the Falling for You -- Cardmaking Stamp + Thin Cuts.  We will finish it off with a piece of the white & bronze twine.

Layouts for Monday, September 18th...

Well, there are 2 layouts.  Those of you who opted out of the Halloween layout will be doing the layout with the roses.  As you can see, they are the exact same layout, just made with different paper and embellishments.

 The "bashful" layout uses 3384 Beautiful You stamp + thin cuts, the bashful paper, as well as paper from the basics fundamentals.

 The Halloween layout uses both Z4006 Monstrous Halloween + thin cuts (retired) and Z4040 Cats & Bats -- Cardmaking + thin cuts.  The paper is from the Cats & Bats paper pack.

Cards for Monday night, May 22, 2017

Thanks for all the support this week... still a ways to go, but looks like we will soon be back to normal!

Not sure what happened, but both cards for Monday involve coloring and fussy cutting.  Sorry!

Card #1:

The flowers are stamped onto lagoon cardstock, randomly colored in, and cut out.  The leaves are stamped onto emerald cardstock and cut out.  The flowers in the letters are randomly colored in with the 2 blue markers... the leaves are vivid green.

If you want a different color scheme, let me know ahead. (if you plan to use pink/red markers, let me know what color cardstock you want for mat and flowers.)

Card #2:

Here is the layout for Monday night, February 13th.  This is basically the Creative Insider layout... the one CTMH does for us... I don't usually use it, but I really liked this one.  Also, since we have the layout from last month to do, I thought simpler would be better.

Very simple, and the instructions show the photos as not being matted.  You may have an extra sheet of cardstock if you want your photos matted.

Kathy's gathering... February 6, 2017

For Kathy's gathering we will be completing 2 cards from the G1124 Workshop Your Way Here for You Carkmaking Kit!

I had never purchased any of these cardmaking kits, but I really loved the stamps in this kit, so I decided to give it a try... and I love it!  The kit includes the stamp set, 2 sheets from the Some Kinda Wonderful paper packet, 2 sheets of cardstock (blossom and white daisy), 1 roll of white shimmer trim, a package of black & white dots, and 12 white card bases and envelopes.  With the inks (blossom, smoothie, willow) and an additional paper packet, you can make quite a few of these cards with the embellsihments provided.

If you don't like the sentiments, you can substitute  as shown by my examples below.
